About the Role

Inspire EHC is working with a specialist primary SEN school supporting pupils aged 6–11 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication needs.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to deliver engaging, personalised learning to pupils who are working below age-related expectations. This role is ideal for teachers who thrive in a nurturing, structured environment and want to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
  • Support pupils with ASC, SEMH and complex needs
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews, annual reviews, and multi-agency meetings
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (Therapists, SEN staff, TA support)
  • Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment
  • Implement behaviour strategies to support pupils with challenging behaviours
  • Promote pupil progress in academic, social and emotional development

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching KS1 / KS2 (or equivalent SEN setting)
  • Knowledge of Autism (ASC), SEMH, and complex needs
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs
  • Experience managing behaviour effectively in an SEN setting
